It’s become common knowledge that Facebook recently bought the app Instagram for an impressive $1 Billion, but what does that mean for us?

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and Founder of Facebook was quoted to have said: “For years, we’ve focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your friends and family. Now, we’ll be able to work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on your interests.”

Many fans expressed a feeling of dread when the news originally broke, fearing that Instagram would become ‘just another Facebook app’. Across the web Instagram users have been suggesting what Facebook need to do to keep Instagrams huge user base.

Keeping the team together and keeping focused on what has made the app so popular are suggested to be the best way to keep the apps fan base. Many companies will tend to move toward large new projects when acquired by a larger company, this is often their undoing.

We can’t wait to see how many new options this could bring to uploading your pictures to Facebook.

How Zuckerberg and his team grow Instagram will be a real test of how far Facebook have come.

Exciting days ahead!
