Time for Another Advice Segment from the Clicky Media™ Office!
This time it’s a little more general, we’re going to show you what’s possible through the new timeline! The feature had opened up a whole new world of possibilities that brands are already taking advantage of, isn’t it time you started doing something different with your Timeline?
To give you some ideas, here are some of the innovative uses that the big brands have come up with so far:
Fanta utilized the Timeline and time travel claiming that the leap year had ripped a hole in the timeline and transported four of their characters to different times within the brands Timeline.
It’s official! As of Wednesday Morning a Facebook Timeline can go back, not to 1800, but to the year 1000!
This is a great development for two reasons.
Firstly brands that started before 1800 can now more accurately tell their customers how and when they were founded.
The second is how this change came about. Mashable posted a piece last week commenting on the issues some brands would have with the Timelines only being able to go back as far as 1800. Since then Facebook has extended the time frame to the year 1000!
The year 1800 date wasn’t an issue when the Timelines where only used for personal profiles, however there are companies and organisations that were founded far earlier than 2 centuries ago who required the timeline to be extended.
It’s amazing how much power one internet post can have!
