HTML5 & CSS3
The latest in web design mark-up
HTML5 & CSS3 are the latest mark-up standards which are now being adopted by the major web browsers.
These web standards are open, reliable, highly secure and efficient. They allow web designers and developers to create advanced graphics, typography, animations and transitions without the need for 3rd party plug-ins or scripting.
Soon all major browsers will have full support for both standards, and the web will be a more beautiful place.
Here at Clicky Media™ we are already implementing these standards into the websites we produce.

Graphics so sharp you can’t see the pixels!
Retina displays are double-pixel displays found on a number of new devices such as the iPad, MacBook Pro, iPhone 5/4s and Chromebook Pixel.
The new displays have twice the number of pixels and the graphics look amazing. The problem is that most websites are built for normal displays and do not take advantage of this, resulting in the sites loooking pixelated.
The big boys are already at it: Google, Adobe, Apple and many others have gone to the trouble of creating retina graphics and our website (the one you are on now) is fully “Retina Ready”.
Most computer/mobile/tablet manufacturers are planning their own versions of these displays and soon a large proportion of your visitors will be able to see retina graphics.
The web design team here at Clicky Media™ can make sure your website is “Retina Ready” so that you take full advantage!

Building websites for any screen size.
Most websites are not ready for the huge number of different devices people now use to access the web.
Many businesses are now investing heavily in mobile websites to ensure mobile users can access their websites easily.
An alternative and more technically elegant solution to creating mobile & desktop “versions” of your website is to create a website which is “responsive” to any screen size.
This website you are using now is responsive. If you make the size of your browser window smaller you will notice that the design tweaks itself to fit with the new window size, ensuring it is still nice and easy to use. Open this site on a mobile and you will also see this change.
The development process is longer and there are a few minor design constraints but the end result is a website which both looks great and works on any screen/device type.
Here at Clicky Media™ we can make your new website completely responsive to ensure all your potential customers can use your site easily.

We can customise jQuery to do some amazing things!
Almost every website we build will incorporate jQuery in one way or another and the end result is a more fluid and attractive website user experience.
Take a look here at this simple jQuery animation of a “bi-fold” door which we have produced for a client of ours. Move your mouse pointer across the image to see it working!
We love WordPress!
WordPress is a free and open source content management system (CMS) based on PHP and MySQL.
WordPress is used by over 14.7% of Alexa Internet’s “top 1 million” websites and, as of August 2011, manages 22% of all new websites. WordPress is currently the most popular CMS in use on the Web, powering over 60 million websites worldwide!
Here at Clicky Media™ we use it for 90% of the websites we produce (including the one you are on now). We love its simplicity and its intuitive user interface. Our clients love it too.
It is also “upgradable” which allows us to add new features to your website as new versions of WordPress are released.
When building your website we provide a quick training session to ensure you know how to use it too.
Ready for touch device gestures
To improve the mobile/tablet experience of your website, we can include touch gesture controls.
Visitors to your website using a tablet or mobile device will expect to use your website’s features in a similar way to apps.
For example a sliding gallery can be controlled using a swipe across with your finger. We can also do this for more complex controls such as navigation elements and custom tools.
We try to incorporate these features in any relevant elements of your website.
