Josh’s first week at Clicky

Welcome Josh, our new ProSupport Developer! When a new starter joins Clicky we like to ask them to write a short piece for the blog and this time, Josh talks us through what he’s been up to during his first week at Clicky…

On the morning of my first day at Clicky I was up early with excitement ready to start my new job at an agency I’d heard nothing but good things about!

During my induction I was told I’d be taking part in speed dating over the next couple of days, to which I initially thought, “This wasn’t in the job description…”, but thankfully isn’t as ominous as it sounds!

Speed dating is a great opportunity for you to meet everyone who works at Clicky, put a name to a face, and find out a little more about them. Everyone I met was really friendly, approachable, and gave me some great advice.

Over the next few days I spent time learning about all the different clients I’d be working with, browsing through their websites, and looking at how they were built. One thing I was hoping for was variety in my working day, and being in ProSupport was certainly going to provide that.

One evening I was invited to stay after work with the rest of the ProSupport and Web team for a training session with one of the senior developers. We got some food and beers in, sat around in the breakout room, and learnt new skills together, which was really awesome.

At the end of my first week I came away from the office knowing I’d made the right decision! The Clicky culture, the team, and the role were everything I was expecting, and more. I’m looking forward to bringing my ideas and experiences into the business, and hopefully help the company grow.
