A Great Content Piece From Tripadvisor
Not only do Tripadvisor allow users to read and write reviews for over 5.2 million businesses and properties in 123,000+ destinations worldwide, but the site also doubles up as a hotel comparison site and go-to destination guide.
With all that fantastic customer data at their fingertips, the team at Tripadvisor have used their growing stack of stats to create an interactive content hub on the top 10 islands of 2015.
The end result is this fantastic looking piece of content that boasts stunning full-width imagery, enveloping the user in a medley of gorgeous colours and striking scenery that we don’t usually see on the main site.
The content piece doesn’t need to work hard to capture the user’s attention and once they have it, they’re not about to let go. On each destination page, you’ll find social feeds, allowing custom tweets and comments via Facebook, along with a quiz and links to informational guides. Tripadvisor do promote hotels, but in the midst of everything else, it doesn’t feel like you’re being pushed into anything and it seems a natural progression to have these included.
Summer may be nearly over here in the UK, but after looking at these gorgeous destinations we know we’ll be dreaming of our island getaway straight through to 2016. Take a look for yourself here and dream along with us.
