Clicky Island Discs/ Amy
Inspired by the legendary Desert Island Discs of BBC radio, we’ve asked the Clicky team; before they’re castaway on a remote desert island in the middle of nowhere with only themselves as company, what 5 songs, book and luxury item would they take with them?
1. Take Over The World by The Courteeners
We chose this song for the first dance at our wedding earlier this year. It was played by a live band, and I loved it!
2. When the Sun Goes Down by Arctic Monkeys
It’s so hard to choose one song, but this is the one I love to hear when they play live.
3. Champagne Kisses by Jessie Ware
This song, or anything by Jessie Ware manages to chill me out as I just love her voice!
4. Always Like This by Bombay Bicycle Club
This song reminds me of when I used to work in London and had to get the first train on a Monday morning to work. Bombay Bicycle Club songs used to be perfect for that time of the morning, because of the lovely soothing voice.
5. My Girl by The Temptations
I loved the ‘My Girl’ films, and this song reminds me of my childhood.
It has to be something that will make me laugh as I’m not that big into books. It takes me a long time to relax and get into something, which is why I’d take a book by Lindsey Kelk with me on the island, as they’re pretty easy to read and I’m sure I could re-read it until I was rescued!
I love a good nap, which is why I’d take a blanket with me! Not only would it keep me warm, but I could also use it to build a little ‘home’.
