Clicky Island Discs / Craig
Inspired by the legendary Desert Island Discs of BBC radio, we’ve asked the Clicky team; before they’re castaway on a remote desert island in the middle of nowhere with only themselves as company, what 5 songs, book and luxury item would they take with them?
Narrowing down my five best songs is a near impossible task, especially with the diverse music taste that I have. Therefore I have decided to provide a particular favourite song from different genres, except my first choice.
1. Outside by Staind
If ever asked about my favourite ever song, I think I would have to lean towards Outside, by Staind. The album version is quality, but to me the live version featuring Fred Durst is on another level.
2. Pursuit of Happiness by Steve Aoki
This song is not only classic, but brings back memories of seeing this man live in Magaluf when I was younger. Somehow managing my way to the front row and getting vodka poured into my mouth by the man himself.
3. Stranger in Moscow by Michael Jackson
So many songs I could have picked from the King of Pop, but I have always preferred this lesser known song, so this one is my pick.
4. Seize the Day by Avenged Sevenfold
I struggled to narrow down my favourite Avenged Sevenfold song, but I think I will go back to the first song I ever heard by them. I have been hooked ever since.
5. Growing Pains by Ludacris
This song brings back memories of my childhood. Me and my friends trying to learn this song word by word, something I can still do now.
I’ve never been much of a book worm, so there isn’t one book that springs to mind. I think I would choose a joke book though, so when things get tough I can just laugh at some bad jokes.
I think the reality is, I am not going to survive being stranded on a desert island (I am no Bear Grylls, but I am a huge fan), so I think my luxury item would be my last meal alive – a Sunday Roast!
