Clicky Island Discs / Mark P

Inspired by the BBC’s Desert Island Discs, the format of Clicky Island Discs is pretty similar. We’ve asked the Clicky team; before they’re castaway on a remote desert island in the middle of nowhere with only themselves as company, what 5 songs, book and luxury item would they take with them?
1. Jumpin’ Jack Flash by The Rolling Stones
This song undoubtably has one of the best riffs of all time – it’s a great song to listen to on the way to work to get ‘in the mood’.

2. Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin
I doubt this song needs much explanation – it’s probably one of the most flawless songs ever written.

3. Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns ‘N Roses
This song reminds me of my youth, which is good as I’m starting to feel very old.

4. Teddy Picker by Arctic Monkeys
I had to include an Arctic Monkeys song somewhere, and there are so many to choose from, but this probably edges it…

5. Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones
The Stones managed to sum up an entire decade with this song, and even though it is 46 (!!) years old, it still has relevance today. Much like ‘Stairway to Heaven’, it is pretty flawless.

The Road to Serfdom by F. A. Hayek
Thought Provoking.
Luxury Item
A lifetime’s supply of pizza
I like pizza…
