Clicky Island Discs / Sarah
Part twenty is long overdue, and it features our Digital Business Coordinator Sarah!
Inspired by the legendary Desert Island Discs of BBC radio, we’ve asked the Clicky team; before they’re castaway on a remote desert island in the middle of nowhere with only themselves as company, what 5 songs, book and luxury item would they take with them?
1. Fat Lip by Sum 41
I used to listen to this as a kid with my brothers; I liked the song and video so much it made me go out and buy a skateboard, although it’s safe to say that I didn’t really get far with that.
2. Haunted by Taylor
I wasn’t a huge Taylor Swift fan until a certain someone who’s obsessed with her introduced me to her songs. Since then, I can’t stop listening to this one!
3. State of Dreaming by Marina and the Diamonds
I LOVE Marina and the Diamonds and think all her songs are ace! One of the main things I like the most are her lyrics and I can always relate to them. I love this song though because half the time I am daydreaming.
4. Yellowcard by Ocean Avenue
Again, a song from the past that I absolutely love – it’s one of those that I just belt out in the car.
5. O Fortuna by Carl Orff
I have to admit that I do like a bit of classical music now and again. Especially when reading or writing. I love how powerful this song is though and PLEASE don’t just relate it to the X Factor!
A Notepad (and sneaky pen)
I love books so so much and really wouldn’t be able to narrow down just one that I had to take away with me. It would make me sad I couldn’t read anything else and then I might end up going insane. So, I thought I’d take a notepad (a big one!) with me and pen so I could write my own story.
Glasses doubled as sunglasses
They may be a boring item to anyone else but without them I really couldn’t see and as I can’t really look at a blue sky sometimes without my eyes watering, the sunglasses are a must.
