#clickypeople | meet hayley

We managed to free up a slot in Hayley’s busy schedule to ask a few questions about her job role and what it’s like to work for us here at Clicky…
How long have you been working at Clicky?
I’ve been working at Clicky for six months now. I came from another digital agency, and the thing that drew me to Clicky was how creative it is. I just felt I needed another creative challenge.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Probably when you get briefed in and get that first idea that gets you get really excited, and then you start designing and it all comes to life.
Do you enjoy every day at Clicky?
You always have your good days and bad days, but I’d say most days I really enjoy my job. Everyday is different, and there is always exciting projects to work on.
Describe your job in three words…
Creative, fun & exciting
What do you consider your most successful design project you’ve done at Clicky?
Probably the amazed by science website, which was a website we did for marketing Cheshire. It’s a children’s science festival so it allowed me to be really really fun and creative. The developers did a good job on it also, by making it animated and do really cool stuff.
What advice would you give to someone interested in web design as a career path?

Work hard and get plenty of experience. I did a few work experience placements at university, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to get into web design. It definitely pays off in the end.
Have you always been a web designer?
My very first job was working for a magazine so it was all print based design, which is quite different to digital design. I wanted to move away from print and into digital because that’s the direction everything is going.
What projects are you working on at the moment?
I’m currently working on a branding project for a company called Milk Education who are a recruitment company, so I’m designing them quite a quirky logo.
With the work related questions out of the way, it was time to get to know Hayley a little better…
What’s your favourite book?
I don’t know! Ummm… I really enjoyed the book, which is an autobiography by Anthony Kiedis called scar tissue. He’s the lead singer of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and has had quite a crazy life, so that’s a fun book to read.
Where do you look for inspiration?
I usually look on the web for web design inspiration; the Awwwards site is really good and I also look at other people’s websites.
What’s the best website you’ve ever seen?
Sony did a really good one, it’s called be-moved and is a really cool parallax site. You should go on it and have a look.
Who’s your biggest inspiration?
I want to say Dragon from hour of power because he’s so strong! [cue the laughter]
How would your friends describe you in three words?
Fun, happy and I’m quite adventurous.
