#clickypeople / Meet Mark
We like you to get to know our team here at Clicky, which is why this #filmfriday is dedicated to finding out a little more about Mark.
How long have you been working for Clicky Mark?
I’ve been at Clicky since March this year, so about 6 – 7 months now.
What made you apply for the job at Clicky?
I’ve always wanted to work at Clicky. I applied three of four years ago when I first graduated university with a degree in Marketing, but unfortunately I didn’t get the role then. *Thanks Sam!* I’d been doing Project Management in another agency and when the opportunity came up, I thought it too good to pass up and here I am!
How is Clicky different to where you’ve worked before?
The last agency I worked for wasn’t a full service agency, so it’s more interesting having different departments and carrying more clients. There is the Clicky way as well that has been interesting to get into. Clicky is quite different, same business type but different ethos.
What does a standard working day look like for you?
A standard day for myself would involve communicating with clients, looking at schedules to ensure that we are on target, going through workflows, looking at profitability and all that type of stuff. It’s very varied my job.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is when a website goes live and you see the look on the clients face. They’re happy with everything that we have done for them because it’s part of their business.
Describe your job in three words…
Challenging, rewarding and hectic.
What does a standard weekend look like in your world?
I’m a scout leader in my spare time, so a standard weekend is usually spent on scout camp or doing some form of planning for scout camp. Anything to do with the outdoors really, as I love going camping and doing all of the survival stuff. If I’m not doing that, I’m usually socialising with friends: pub, sports, gym – that type of thing!
Where’s the best place you’ve ever camped?
I actually did a camp in 2007 – 2008 over the New Year in Australia. It was fantastic, as we camped in the outback. It was great apart from all of the spider and snakes that could potentially kill you whilst you were on site! It was just an amazing experience to be out there with all of the Australians.
