Hello Nottingham

Over 100 people turned up to our free launch event in Nottingham last night and we have been inundated with praise for our amazing speakers!
The event was held at The Antenna in Nottingham city centre and we managed to secure a range of speakers who gave some some really useful tips and insight into digital marketing in 2017.
Dan Phoenix (Digital Consultant at Clicky) provided the introductions and gave the audience an insight into the work Clicky do and a little bit about our whirlwind history. Dan then introduced our first guest speaker of the evening…

Our first & headline guest speaker was Agency Development Manager at Google, Shane Cahill who delivered some really interesting data from Google about the ever-changing way we are using their search engine and other services. He also gave us some really useful tips for the year ahead and ensuring your business stays ahead of the curve. Shane flew in from Dublin especially for the event and had to depart straight after his talk so a huge thank you to Shane!

Next up was our very own Sam Gadsby who built on Shane’s presentation and looked deeper into user behaviour and the continued role the Smartphone & Video is having in the way we search, interact and buy products online. Sam gave some really nice take-aways for our guests to integrate into their campaigns.

Sam’s presentation led nicely into our guest speaker from Fat Free Media, Neil Rostance (Owner & CEO) who focused on how to “succeed with video in a world that moves so fast”.
Fat Free Media are a superb video production company based in Nottingham who work with some amazing brands including Center Parcs. Neil gave us some really interesting insight into how different video delivery platforms influence the way that video needs to be produced and how carefully considering each platform can be the difference between success and failure.

After a quick food/beer break we all got seated for Andrew Seward from Tech Nottingham who talked about the great work Tech Nottingham do in the area and the importance of the community. Andrew had a great presenting style and got us all ready for the second half of the event.

Our final speaker was Anthony Byrne from D2N2 Growth Hub who provide support to businesses in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire area. Anthony told us about their great work they do and some great tips on the various ways businesses can access a number of grants, loans and apprenticeships in the area.

Once the speakers had finished we all had a great opportunity to network with the guests and we all gained some superb contacts.

A huge thank you to all our guests for giving up their time to come along and a big thank you to our speakers for providing us all with some invaluable tips for 2017.
Nottingham we have arrived, thank you for the great welcome & watch this space for more events soon…
