Pinterest Advertising Update

We blogged a while ago about Pinterest branching out into advertising and testing with ‘tasteful’ advertising, you can read more about that here, and on Monday, it was confirmed that Pinterest is partnering with a handful of brands to text “Promoted Pins” to US users.

The list of brands includes Gap, General Mills, Target, ABC Family and Expedia.
Pinterest have commented in a blog post that they are keeping their test small at this stage, collecting as much feedback as possible but hoping to open it up to more businesses throughout the year.
