Prime Day 2026 Has Moved to June: Your Two-Week Campaign Checklist
Amazon has confirmed Prime Day 2026 for 23 to 26 June, the first June event since 2021, which leaves sellers a fortnight less to prepare. Here is the two-week checklist: Amazon foundations, ad warm-up, and why your Google and Meta budgets need looking at too.
Right, this one caught a few people on the hop. Amazon has officially confirmed Prime Day 2026 for 23 to 26 June. That is four days, and it is the first time the event has landed in June since 2021.
If you sell on Amazon, your planning calendar just got a fortnight shorter. And if you do not sell on Amazon, do not switch off, because this affects you too. When Amazon pulls millions of shoppers into buying mode, everyone's costs move with it. More on that in a minute.
Here is the practical bit. Two weeks out, this is what I would be checking with the team.
Sort the Amazon foundations first
Before you spend a penny on ads, get the basics right, because paid traffic onto a weak listing just burns budget.
Check stock levels and send inventory in now, not the week before. Running out mid-event is the most expensive mistake you can make. Make sure your hero products have clean titles, sharp images, full bullet points and up to date A+ content. Confirm your deals and coupons are submitted and approved, and double check the pricing actually qualifies as a discount, because Amazon will quietly suppress the ones that do not.
Get the ads ready to scale
Prime Day is not the time to launch brand new campaigns and hope. Warm everything up now.
Push budget into your best performing Sponsored Products campaigns in the run up so the algorithm has data to work with. Raise bids on your branded terms, because competitors will absolutely try to nick your traffic while you are busy. Build a few defensive campaigns around your top ASINs. And set your daily budgets high enough that you do not cap out at 9am on day one. Worth noting Amazon Ads has also recently put its MCP server into open beta, a sign of where all this automation is heading, but for now keep a human eye on the spend.
Do not forget Google and Meta
This is the part brands miss. Prime Day does not just lift Amazon. It lifts demand across the board, and that pushes auction prices up everywhere for those four days.
Expect higher CPCs on Google Shopping and Meta in that window. Two options. Either lean in and ride the wave with stronger budgets and sharper offers, or pull back slightly on prospecting and protect your margins while costs are inflated. Both are valid. The wrong move is to do neither and just let your automated bidding spend more for the same result without anyone noticing.
If you run Performance Max or Advantage+, check your budget caps and target ROAS now, because those systems will happily chase the extra demand and quietly drain your account.
The quick version
- Inventory in and listings tidied this week
- Deals and coupons submitted and approved
- Best campaigns warmed up with extra data and budget
- Branded terms defended
- Daily budgets raised so you do not cap out early
- Google and Meta budgets and ROAS targets reviewed for the spike
None of this is complicated. It just needs doing before the 23rd, not on it.
If you want a hand getting your accounts in shape before Prime Day, that is exactly the kind of thing we do. Give us a shout.
Good luck out there 👊🏻
