The Global Travel Group are a travel franchise company operating in the UK and have been a valued client of ours for several years now. They decided to host their annual conference in Dubai this year where they invited all their franchisees for the 3 day event.
The client hosts these large conferences to provide their franchisees with more knowledge and insight into how the travel industry is moving forward. They also offer support to help franchisees grow their businesses, whilst providing them with opportunities to meet new suppliers.
Dubai was an excellent location to hold the event in as it allowed many of the travel representatives to experience a holiday destination they are offering to their customers.
Clicky were asked to be official media sponsors of the event, and would be responsible for filming and photographing the entire conference with the aim of showcasing the event to advertise for next year. The client wanted to stand out from their competitors by showing franchisees that The Global Travel Group go above and beyond in the service they offer. It was also a great opportunity to showcase how amazing Dubai is as a holiday destination.
We travelled to Dubai to film the 3 day event, with a very tight schedule, even tighter deadlines and various activities to fit in. As well as filming a promotional video of the The Global Travel Group’s conference we also took all of the press photography that would appear on the front cover of Travel Weekly magazine.
Photographs we took for the client would be used on their website, social media profiles, as well as future marketing materials. The video needed to capture the true atmosphere of the whole three days that included exciting experiences like a jeep safari and sand surfing, as well as the presentations during the conference, speed dating sessions for networking, dinner and awards, and of course a night out to the clubs.
As the official media partner of the event, we were not only there to film the conference, but were were also asked to present too. The client recognised Clicky as leaders in the digital industry, able to share our knowledge on the consumer trends in the travel industry. We’ve gained experience and insight from the industry through the various projects and campaigns undertaken for a number of different clients. The whole process took 6 months of planning, 3 days of filming and 4 weeks of editing the photo’s and video’s, but the result was definitely worth the mammoth effort the Clicky team put into it.
The planning was meticulous, with a strict agenda that our film crew followed to ensure all activities were captured on camera.
In addition to capturing the event on camera, alongside the client’s marketing team, we were also responsible for updating their social profiles. Twitter was a hive of activity with delegates, franchisees and other members of the travel industry interacting with both The Global Travel Group’s Twitter profile, and their dedicated Conference profile. It was important to ensure all messages were responded to, and that The Global Travel Group were keeping users updated across all of their platforms of what was happening at the event.
The result was a stunning video, and just as stunning photography that the client could use to promote their brand and event to potential franchisees. The scale of the event proved how The Global Travel Group are leaders in their field, and the quality of the work we produced highlights the effort the client puts in to go above and beyond for their franchisees, and the level of service they offer.
