Orca, formally Call Miss Jones, is one of the UK’s leading call answering services, specialising in harnessing vital business opportunities for their clients by making sure they capture the calls that they miss. They offer many different services that go above and beyond call answering, including live chat and diary management.
Orca approached Clicky with ambitions for an entirely new approach to their digital outlook, to support their aim to be seen as a market leader across the services that they offer, and their online presence.
We commenced with a Discovery project led by our Strategy and Insights team, which in turn informed a full rebranding exercise, involving a name change, as well as the design and development of a brand new bespoke website.
The resulting site really showcases and communicates Orca’s client offering and brings them up-to-date in the digital world. We hope to increase revenue into their business through lead generation.
We began our relationship with Orca with a comprehensive Discovery phase, with research and analysis spanning several different areas and topics. To start things off, we held brand immersion and planning sessions with the business, to ensure we had fully grasped and understood the client’s commercial aims and objectives, before beginning our research stage.
Overall, this initial period of research, analysis and collaborative planning was instrumental to the long-term success of the project, ensuring that all of our future work was fully aligned with Orca’s key business goals.

As a result of our findings in the Discovery phase, we suggested changing the company name to suite in with the client’s future plans and brand positioning that would be recommended. Building upon their existing brand pillars, we came up with a selection of names and logo concepts that were tested across audience focus groups before being presented to the client.
The client decided on the name “Orca” which was borne out of their primary service offering – Outsourced Reception Call Answering. The word also obviously links to whales; a species renowned for their advanced communication abilities. Being a two-syllable word, it’s also easy to spell, pronounce – and crucially – it’s memorable.
We proceeded to develop and refine the logo until we reached a version the client loved; a soft rounded, lowercase font, reflecting the friendly and approachable nature of the team. The logo is professional, yet modern; synonymous with the forward-thinking nature of the brand. We decided on yellow as the main brand colour due to its countless positive connotations including optimism, loyalty, freshness and energy, which ultimately creates a confident brand image.
We knew that the new Orca website needed to truly bring the new brand look and feel to life.
The client’s primary concern was to ensure the site highlighted their wider service offering, above and beyond call answering. They also wanted to showcase the range of sectors they work across to provide valid trust signals and showcase the relevancy of their experience.
The new website design is clean, slick and contemporary, with the brand colours, typography and imagery working well together to encapsulate the professional, approachable and friendly nature of the company.
When launching a new brand, it’s important to overcome any technical difficulties in relation to the design. Once we had laid everything out in a testing, we identified the key components of each page. Having an outline of consistent features allows us to quickly isolate the key elements of a page and in contrast, helps us to recognise how each of the more unique sections will interact on the page.
The site is built in WordPress; a CMS with the technical capabilities to meet Orca’s primary objectives of demonstrating their bespoke and tailored solutions. WordPress also permits the client to make simple, continuous updates and additions to their website content; a vital component of their SEO efforts.
Clear, slick and modern, the website is a true reflection of the professional nature of Orca, effectively showcasing the fact that they really are more than just a telephone answering company.
The launch of the new branding and website is very much the beginning for Orca’s digital journey and we look forward to continuing our relationship and driving results.
