Facebook & Instagram launches in-app shops

Yesterday, Facebook announced it had launched in-app shops on both Facebook and Instagram, with it becoming more widely available in the coming months.

During the global lockdown, many businesses are struggling. Many are now looking to transfer from bricks and mortar to online. This will now allow businesses to set up a single online store to sell products with no fee on both platforms. Helping small businesses across the country.

Right now many small businesses are struggling, and with stores closing, more are looking to bring their business online. Our goal is to make shopping seamless and empower anyone from a small business owner to a global brand to use our apps to connect with customers. That’s why we’re launching Facebook Shops. Investing in features across our apps that inspire people to shop and make buying and selling online easier.

Businesses are able to set up a Facebook shop and select the products they want to feature. They can then customise the shop by adding images and colours that reflect their brand.

People can locate shops through a business’ Facebook Page or Instagram profile. As well as being able to discover them through ads or stories.
