July 2020

July Update: Super busy, HQ reopening, Brighton, 3 new recruits & we’re becoming a teenager!

We are busy! 99% of our clients are back up to full speed & we are lucky enough to have grown a number of accounts as well as win a selection of exciting new clients during the lockdown.

HQ to reopen

We are all working from home but are planning to open our HQ next week for a small number of the team who want to work safely from there. We’ve been busy installing signs, hand sanitizer dispensers and we will be providing face masks to staff when they head out to the shops & to use optionally in the office itself. We have also reorganised the desks to make sure we all spread out and make use of all the available space.

Brighton office to open in August

We’ve pressed ahead with one of our long term plans and agreed on some new office space in Brighton which is really exciting and we look forward to sharing more about this in August.

Planning for a post-COVID office life

Thinking through our office space has become a focal point for me this month and I am busy planning a new way of working. I personally miss the collaborative space a good office can provide and I want to make sure we are able to work effectively with a combined WFH & office working setup from 2021 & beyond.

I have a strong belief that the very best businesses will make sure they still provide a safe, top-class office environment for their staff to work from, in combination with a longer-term WFH policy. We refuse to see this crisis as a short-term opportunity to cut costs & believe that on the other side of the crisis people will want the best of both worlds.

3 new recruits

We are really pleased to announce we have successfully recruited for 3 new roles in the past month. Stuart Singleton has joined us in a Business Development role (will do a proper intro blog soon!) and we have just agreed on start dates for our Paid Social Specialist & Digital Project Manager with both set to start in August. All done remotely! Well done team!

A new look is coming…

I am super excited about a new brand identity I am working on for Clicky and a new website too which will better align us to the kind of work we are doing right now. I personally cannot wait to show it off!

We are becoming a teenager

The end of this month sees us celebrate our 13th birthday! 13 years since I started this agency in my back-bedroom in a small rented house in Chester & I couldn’t be prouder of all we’ve achieved. This year (despite the crisis) will see us break almost all our records for turnover & growth. This is down to our sheer determination from the team to focus on getting results for our clients.

Our first teenage year will undoubtedly see some challenges ahead but I could not be more confident we have what it takes to have an even more successful year in 2020/21.
