The Client.

Aico is the UK’s market leader in domestic fire and carbon monoxide protection, offering a range of alarm solutions for both B2C and B2B audiences. With innovation and safety at the core of their offering, Aico provides advanced, reliable technologies to homeowners, landlords, installers, and housing associations across the country.

We've worked with Aico for a number of years building their suite of websites as well as supporting them day to day with their ongoing performance marketing. Most recently we have embarked on a very successful SEO strategy to drive more organic traffic to their websites with some impressive results.

Challenge.

Although Aico has established a strong brand presence, they were struggling to rank for highly competitive, non-branded category keywords like smoke alarms, heat alarms, and carbon monoxide alarms. 

To continue driving meaningful growth, Aico needed a renewed SEO and content strategy that addressed these gaps and prioritised visibility across both B2B and B2C customer journeys.

Solution.

To tackle Aico’s SEO challenges, we took a strategic, multi-layered approach rooted in our proven Best Practice Methodology (BPM).

We started by reworking the core category pages, refining metadata, improving content structure, and sharpening keyword targeting to better align with user intent and search demand.

Next, we widened Aico’s content reach by creating a series of helpful “How to” guides and FAQ pages tailored to each major product line. Working closely with their technical and content teams, we ensured everything struck the right balance, boosting both credibility and search visibility.

For pages flagged as thin by Google, we used competitor analysis and keyword research to enrich the content. This made the pages more relevant and useful, keeping visitors engaged longer and driving more conversions.
